Founding

North American School of Information Technology was founded in 1998 and has enjoyed commercial success ever since. NASIT, as some of our students have endeared to call it, has become an integral part of a growing sector that thrives on delivering quality Canadian education to students from around the world.  Our students do not just comprise of Canadians, we welcome and open our doors to any student from any part of the globe that wishes to learn.  NASIT prides itself on its diverse profile of students from all walks of life because at the end of the day what matters is what you do for yourself and choosing education is the best choice you could possibly make.

Our mission and goal is to provide our students with a set of life-changing skills in their chosen career path whether it be Healthcare, Information Technology or in the Business sector.  World renown activist Nelson Mandela once said “Education is the most powerful weapon with which you can use to change the world” and what better way to start changing the world than by starting with oneself.

Designated Learning Institution

As of June 1st, 2014 all learning institutions operating within Canada must apply for a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) number.  All categories of schools from primary/elementary, high schools to universities and career colleges must have this DLI number in order to operate legally within the borders of Canada. This Designated Learning Institution number is a license that shows that said school is in good standing with the Government of Canada and operating as intended, which is to offer the best Canadian education possible to all students who wish to learn.

In order for an international student to apply for a study permit in Canada on or after June 1st, 2014, the student must forward a letter of acceptance from a Designated Learning Institution, which means that if a school does not have a DLI number not only is it operating while violating certain rules and regulations set forth by the Government of Canada, students who wish to attend said school cannot even apply for a study permit.

Students need to include the Designated Learning Institution number (DLI #), which is the number that begins with the letter “O”, on their application form.

NASIT College is proud to present their Designated Learning Institution as follows: O116453040879
